נלקח מNana-net. (http://net.nana.co.il/Article/?ArticleID=180635&sid=10): את מספר הרושעות שקיימות היום לטלפונים סלולרים אפשר לספור עדיין על יד אחת, מקסימום שתיים. אולם בתקופה האחרונה המצב הולך ומחמיר, לא רק מבחינה מספרית, אלא גם מבחינת הנזק שהן מסוגלות לעשות. Fontal-A הינו סוס טרויאני חדש, קטלני במיוחד, אשר מסוגל למעשה לחסל טוטאלית את התוכנה על המכשיר.
לאחר שהטרויאני חודר למכשיר הוא מציג למשתמשים את ההודעה "Install Kill Saddam By OID500?". במידה והמשתמשים מסכימים להריץ את הקובץ, מותקן על המכשיר קובץ sis פגום. בפעם הבאה שהמכשיר יאותחל, כל מערכת ההפעלה תיתקע. לא ניתן יהיה אז להסיר את התוכנה הזדונית וגם לא להתקין על המכשיר תוכנה אחרת. חברת האבטחה F-Secure אומרת כי המצב מצער שכזה, הפתרון היחידי הוא פורמט כללי של המכשיר, מה שכמובן יגרום לאובדן של כל המידע עליו.
בניגוד לוירוסים ותולעים אחרות לטלפונים סלולרים, הסוס הטרויאני הזה אינו מופץ באמצעות בלוטות’ או באמצעות הודעות MMS, אלא הוא מופץ דרך הרשת, בין אם דרך ה-IRC או רשתות שיתוף הקבצים. המשתמשים שעלולים להיפגע הם אלו אשר מורידים מהרשת למכשיר משחקים פרוצים ותכני דומים.
חברת האנטיוירוס ממליצה למשתמשים להוריד תכנים רק ממקורות לגיטימים וכן להתקין על המכשיר תוכנת אנטיוירוס לטלפונים ניידים, אותה ניתן למצוא בכתובת mobile.f-secure.com.

NAME: Fontal.A ALIAS: SymbOS/Fontal.A Fontal.A is a SIS file trojan that installs corrupted Font file into infected device, thus causing the device to fail at next reboot.
If a phone is infected with Fontal.A, it must not be rebooted as the trojan will prevent the phone from booting again. If the phone is rebooted, it will try to boot, but will be forever stuck on phone startup and cannot be used.
In addition of installing the corrupted font file the Fontal.A also damages the application manager so that it cannot be uninstalled, and no new applications can be installed before the phone is disinfected.
Disinfection
F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus will detect Fontal.A and delete the trojan components.
1. Open web browser on the phone 2. Go to http://mobile.f-secure.com 3. Select link "Download F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus" and then select phone model 4. Download the file and select open after download 5. Install F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus 6. Go to applications menu and start Anti-Virus 7. Activate Anti-Virus and scan all files
After disinfecting you phone, you can remove remaining empty directories by going to application manager and uninstalling the SIS file in which Comwarrior arrived (Kill Saddam By OID500.sis)
Manual disinfection:
1. Install file manager on the phone 2. Go to c:\System\apps\appmngr 3. Delete appmngr.app 4. Go to the application manager 5. Uninstall the SIS file in which the Fontal.A was installed in

Infection:
When the Fontal.A SIS file is installed the installer copies files into following locations: \system\apps\appmngr\appmngr.app \system\apps\kill sadam\kill sadam.app \system\apps\fonts\kill sadam font.gdr
The appmngr.app is non-functional file that disables application manager, the kill sadam.app is hexedited utility that has been modified to show text reboot, and has no other significant function for the trojan.
Exact detection for Fontal.A was published on April 6th, 2005 in database build number 35.

לא ידוע לי מידע על הכותב של הוירוס הנ"ל, וגם לא הוזכר שום דבר ב29a על הנושא, כשיהיה לי יותר מידע- אני אפרסם אותו פה.

The Finnish company posted details of the Trojan horse, which they’ve named Fontal.A, on Wednesday. Fontal.A affects Nokia Series 60 handsets running the Symbian operating system. The advisory did not say whether any infections had been reported.
Fontal.A in action. Other Trojan horses, or applications that appear to be legitimate but perform illicit activity when they are run, have found their way into smart phones. But unlike the CommWarrior Trojan, Fontal.A does not propagate over Bluetooth wireless networking connections or Multimedia Message Service, which is a mobile technology for sending text messages that can also include images, audio or video. Instead, it is distributed via file-sharing or IRC (Internet relay chat).
Fontal.A tries to install a corrupted file, called "Kill Saddam By OID500.sis," into the infected device, causing it to fail at the next reboot, F-Secure said. If the handset is rebooted, it gets stuck and can’t be used until it is disinfected.
The Trojan also damages the application manager, preventing new programs from being installed and stopping the Trojan itself from being uninstalled. The only fix is to reformat the phone. However, doing this causes all data on the handset to be lost, F-Secure said.
The company suggested that the way to avoid Fontal.A and other Trojans is to download files only from known or trusted sources.
